How to Apply as a Visiting Student

Visiting students applying with a Letter of Permission (LOP) must apply through TargetX using the Non-Degree application. A $40.00 non-refundable application fee is required at the time of application.

  1. Complete the TargetX application
    • Select the Non-Degree application option.
  2. Upload your Letter of Permission 
    • Confirm that you are applying with a valid Letter of Permission from your home (sending) institution. 
    • When prompted, upload your Letter of Permission (LOP) as part of the application.
  3. Application review and offer 
    • Pay the $40.00 application fee.
    • Click the “Submit Your Application” button on the right side of the screen.
    • Scroll to the end of your application to “Verify & Submit.”
    • Select the required check box.
    • Add your electronic signature.
    • Click the “Verify & Submit” button (the grey button shown in the image on the right).
    • Once your application is received, our Admissions Office will follow up with you with additional details.

Visiting Students - Maple League Partnership

The Maple League is a consortium of four small universities in Eastern Canada:

  • Bishop’s University
  • Mount Allison University
  • Acadia University
  • St. Francis Xavier University

Through the Maple League, students may take advantage of expanded course offerings across member institutions.

Course Enrollment Options

  • During the Fall and Winter terms, students may enroll in online courses at any Maple League institution at no additional cost.
  • During the Spring and Summer terms, students may access the Maple League course catalogue; however, fees apply for courses taken during these terms.
